At the MWC Barcelona in February, Huawei showcased its foldable phone named the Mate X & that day, we got to know that the device is priced at €2,299. Today, Huawei Mate X launched in the Chinese market at a price of 16,999 Yuan that translates to around 2,400USD. Now, it wasn’t just an announcement but an actual launch of the phone. It would be on sale starting November 15 in China.
The Huawei Mate X is a 5G device since there is Kirin 980 with the Balong 5000 5G Modem. It is also the first 7nm 2G/3G/4G/5G Multi-mode Modem. There is a main 8-inch AMOLED panel with a resolution of 2480 x 2200 pixels. Now, unlike the Galaxy Fold that folds on the inside, the Mate X folds on the outside, so you get two displays when you fold it. One is a 6.6-inch panel (2480 x 1148), while the other is a 6.38-inch screen (2480 x 892).
There are Quad cameras on this phone. There is a primary 48 Megapixel unit with f/1.8 aperture, an 8 Megapixel telephoto unit with f/2.4 aperture, a 16 Megapixel ultra-wide-angle shooter & a 3D TOF sensor. There is OIS + AIS for primary as well as the telephoto unit. So, whether it’s the normal photo or a selfie, you have to use these cameras.
There is a 4,500mAh battery with 55W Huawei SuperCharge support. As per Huawei, it can charge the battery of the Mate X up to 85% in just half an hour.
So, would you mind spending 16,999 Yuan on the Huawei Mate X?
