In our previous article, we talked about the design and four color options of Google Pixel 9 Pro revealed in the official renders. Now, we have the official renders of the vanilla model, shared by OnLeaks in collaboration with AndroidHeadlines.
The design is the same as the Google Pixel 9 Pro, with the only difference being the lack of a telephoto camera on the rear and a smaller form factor. While the Porcelain & Obsidian color options are the same as for Pixel 9 Pro, the vanilla model comes in two more colors named Rose and Green. The “Rose” Pixel 9 Pro has a lighter shade than the “Rose” Pixel 9. The phone has matte sides and a glossy back. So, fingerprints might be an issue with this phone, especially in the Obsidian color. For comparison, the Google Pixel 9 Pro has a glossy frame.
Specifications-wise, the Google Pixel 9 features a 6.3-inch Actua Display, same size as the Pixel 9 Pro. The resolution is 1080 x 2424 pixels, there is a 120Hz refresh rate, and 1800 nits HDR peak brightness (up from 1400 nits last year). For comparison, the Pixel 9 Pro has a higher resolution and a higher peak brightness. The chipset is the Tensor G4, and there is 12GB of RAM, versus 8GB last year.
The dual camera setup on the back includes a 50MP primary and a 48MP ultrawide camera.
