A few days back, we got the exclusive hands-on images of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7R that is supposed to be the refurbished variant of the Note 7 with smaller and non-exploding battery. Today, the device has been spotted on a Korean website with the name Galaxy Note FE. There were rumors that the phone will be called Galaxy Note 7R but that’s not the case here. Some sources suggest that ‘FE’ means ‘Fan Edition.’ The price of the Galaxy Note FE is $625 on the Korean website, and it will be available trough the South Korean’s telecom operators like SKT, KT, and LG U+.
One of the major changes that are made in the refurbished Note 7 is a slightly smaller battery than that on the original Note 7. The battery size is not 3,200mAh as compared to the 3,500mAh on last year’s Note 7. Also, the Korean website reveals that Android Marshmallow runs out of the box in the new Note FE, which is a 2-year old OS. Other specifications are the same with 5.7-inch Quad-HD Super AMOLED display, Exynos 8890 Octa-Core chipset, 4GB RAM, 64GB ROM, 12MP rear camera and 5MP front-facing camera. There is USB Type-C Port, Fingerprint Scanner, and Iris Scanner.
Also, Samsung is soon going to disclose the white paper report with all the details of Note 7’s explosions and why they happened. Well, this is a good step by the company as there are still a lot of users who love the Galaxy Note 7. What are your views about the price? Do let us know via the comments section.
