ZTE Nubia X launched with dual screens & a bezel-less design

Looks like this year, only the Chinese brands have launched phones with unique and innovative designs. We have seen so many phones this year from Chinese brands like Oppo Find X, Mi Mix 3, Vivo NEX etc. with impressive design and unique technologies. Today, ZTE launched the Nubia X in China. It is a phone that has a lot of unique aspects like dual displays, dual fingerprint scanners etc. It’s a shame that phones like ZTE Nubia X won’t launch globally as ZTE doesn’t usually unveil its flagships outside China.

ZTE Nubia X

The ZTE Nubia X has a bezel-less design on the front, and no, there is no notch or cutout for the front camera since the phone doesn’t have one. The phone has cameras only on the rear and to take a selfie, there is a secondary display on the rear. So, you flip the phone and take a selfie with the screen and cameras on the rear.

There is no fingerprint scanner on the rear, and no, it is not placed under the display. Instead, the phone has dual fingerprint scanners, one on the left side and one on the right. The fingerprint scanners can also be used for navigation, so that’s again a unique thing.

The Nubia X has a 6.26-inch Full-HD+ LCD on the front with an aspect ratio of 19:9 and a resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels. The screen is almost fully bezel-less, and the screen-to-body ratio is 93.6%. On the rear, there is a secondary 5.1-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1520 x 720 pixels and a 19:9 aspect ratio. Both the front and the rear screens have Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

The Nubia X is powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor with the Adreno 630 GPU. There is 6/8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 64/128/256GB internal storage (UFS 2.1). The phone doesn’t support external micro SD card, so there is no option to expand the storage.

The phone has dual cameras on the rear that include a primary 16MP F/1.7 sensor and a secondary 24MP f/1.7 sensor. As mentioned above, these rear cameras are used for the selfies as well. Some camera features include AI Scene Recognition, NeoVision 8.0, Phase Detection Autofocus etc.

The ZTE Nubia X has a 3,800mAh battery underneath that supports Quick Charge 3.0 via the USB Type-C port.  Android 8.1.0 Oreo runs out of the box with the Nubia UI 6.0.2 on top.

The ZTE Nubia X comes in three colours – Deep Gray, Black Gold, and Sea Light Blue. The sale starts on November 5 and here is the pricing –
