A couple of weeks back, Xiaomi announced the Redmi Note 6 Pro in Thailand with some minor upgrades from the Redmi Note 5 Pro like a notch and dual front-facing cameras. Now, a trusted source has revealed that the company will soon launch the Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro in the Indian market, probably at the same price as that of the Redmi Note 5 Pro. The launch date isn’t known, but we are expecting it to launch at the time of Diwali since it is the most popular festival in India.
So, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro will launch in India in two variants – 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM and 6GB RAM + 64GB ROM. Also, the colour options are going to be Rose Gold, Black, Red, and Blue. We already have phones like the Realme 2 Pro priced under Rs 15,000 in India that feature the Snapdragon 660 processor. So, the Redmi Note 6 Pro with Snapdragon 636 will most probably be priced under Rs 13,000 in India.
In case you don’t know, the Redmi Note 6 Pro has a 6.26-inch Full-HD+ display with a notch. So, the aspect ratio of 19:9. The display has Gorilla Glass protection, 1500:1 contrast ratio, and 500 nits brightness. The processor under the hood is the same Snapdragon 636 that powers the Redmi Note 5 Pro.
On the rear, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro has a 12MP primary camera with 1.4-micron pixel size. There is a secondary 5MP depth sensor. On the front, the phone has dual cameras that include a primary 20MP camera and a secondary 2MP depth sensor. There are some AI features for the camera.
There is a 4,000mAh battery, and Android 8.1.0 Oreo runs out of the box.
