Xiaomi Pocophone F1 pricing for India leaks, 6GB + 128GB for Rs 25,000!

Xiaomi, on August 22, will launch its first smartphone under the new sub-brand ‘Poco’ and the device is going to be one of the cheapest Snapdragon 845-powered smartphones. Previously, it was expected that the phone would be priced at or around the same pricing as Asus Zefnone 5Z, but it looks like the company is all set to disrupt the whole flagship segment. The Xiaomi Pocophone F1 is launching as a Flipkart Exclusive smartphone in India and today, the pricing of the 6GB + 128GB variant has leaked. With this pricing, we can easily guess the pricing of 6GB + 64GB and the 8GB + 256GB variants of the phone.

As per the source, the Xiaomi Pocophone F1’s 6GB RAM variant with 128GB storage will be priced at Rs 25,000. This means the 6GB + 64GB variant will be priced somewhere around 22-23K, making it the cheapest Snapdragon 845-powered phone available when it launches. When we talk about phones with Snapdragon 845, we hardly think that the pricing will be under 30K. But, Asus changed this when it launched the Zenfone 5Z at Rs 29,999 in India, and now, Xiaomi is going to do the same by launching the Pocophone F1 at even cheaper pricing.

Recently, the company launched Mi A2 in India and the phone isn’t selling as good as expected since the Honor Play with Kirin 970 is available at Rs 19,999. So, Xiaomi decided to launch a phone with Snapdragon 845 at a price that no one will ever expect. But, this cheaper pricing means there are some trade-offs as well. The Pocophone F1 has a polycarbonate back panel which is something we rarely see these days as all phone are made out of metal. The camera setup on the front and the rear is the same that we have on the Redmi Note 5 Pro, which is a phone priced under Rs 15,000 in India.

So, just like the Honor Play, the company has focused primarily on the performance of the device. There is a big 4,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0, which is a good thing. The display is a 5.99-inch 19:9 panel with a notch and a resolution of 1080 x 2246 pixels. The phone has a liquid cooling system, which we will have to learn about when the device launches as it could be just a marketing gimmick.

Well, the Xiaomi Pocophone F1 is indeed for those who are looking for a gaming device under Rs 25K in India. This makes it a competitor to the Honor Play, which is the only phone right now under Rs 25K in India, primarily for gaming.
