Xiaomi recently announced its two new Android One smartphones, the Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite. While these phones are yet to launch in the markets like India, Xiaomi is all set to launch a new device under a new ‘Pocophone’ series. We have got a lot of details of the Xiaomi Pocophone F1 in the past few weeks, and today, a source revealed that Xiaomi is all set to launch this device in the Indian market, as well as some other global markets.

There are reports that the Xiaomi Pocophone F1 is going to be the cheapest Snapdragon 845-powered smartphone. It is reported that an eastern EU dealer has it for less than 390 Euros, which translated to about $450. We know that the European pricing is slightly higher as compared to the pricing for other markets, so expect this device to launch with a starting price under $450. If the rumors of Snapdragon 845 are right, this could well be a big hit due to its pricing. Also, if Xiaomi doesn’t use the Snapdragon 845, we can expect the Snapdragon 710 to power this device.

Talking about the specifications that we got to know so far, the Xiaomi Pocophone F1 has a 5.99-inch FHD+ display with a notch on top. The phone is expected to arrive in 6GB RAM and 64/128GB storage options. There is also an SD card slot for memory expansion. The processor under the hood is rumored to be the Snapdragon 845, paired with the Adreno 630 GPU. Android 8.1 Oreo runs out of the box with MIUI 9 on top. Just like almost every Xiaomi’s mid-range and high-end phone launched this year, the Pocophone F1 has a dual rear camera setup, but the specs aren’t yet known.

The announcement may happen soon, but we are yet to hear any word from the company about such a device.
