In April, Xiaomi Pad 6 & Pad 6 Pro were launched in China, featuring 11-inch 144Hz IPS LCD panels. The Pad 6 featured the Snapdragon 870 chipset, whereas the Pad 6 Pro had the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. The company has now launched a new tablet under the Pad 6 series, the Xiaomi Pad 6 Max. The main USP of this new tablet is its display since it features a large 14-inch screen. That’s an increase in the size by 62% compared to the other two tablets under this series.
The display on the Pad 6 Max is a 14-inch 2.8K resolution (2880 x 1800 pixels) 10-bit LCD with up to 120Hz refresh rate, 600 nit brightness, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The selfie camera has a 1/3.4-inch 20MP Sony IMX596 sensor with 1080p 60fps video recording support.
The tablet has eight speakers with Dolby Atmos support.
Xiaomi Pad 6 Max has a metal build, and the thickness is just 6.53mm.
The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SOC handles the performance, with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB UFS 3.1 storage. There is a large 10,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging support. The tablet can be used to charge other devices, too, at up to 33W speeds.
The dual rear camera has a 50MP primary sensor and a secondary depth sensor. The rear camera can shoot up to 1080p 60fps videos. For better audio recording, the tablet has a quad microphone setup.
Finally, Android 13-based MIUI 14 for Pad runs out of the box.
