Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 launching in China on July 19

It will be one of the slimmest foldable phones!

The Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 was launched in August last year with a super-slim design, an upgraded hinge, and impressive camera hardware. The brand is now all set to launch the successor, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4.

The official launch is taking place in China on July 19, and alongside this announcement, Xiaomi also gave us our first official look at the design of the device.

As the image above reveals, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 does not look a lot different from its predecessor. It has a similar-looking quad-camera setup on the rear, but the camera module is larger than the Mix Fold 3 and is more rounded as well. There is a periscope camera as well, making it one of the few foldable phones in the market with a periscope camera.

According to Digital Chat Station, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and supports two-way satellite communication in China. The phone supports 67W wired and 50W wireless charging, the same as its predecessor. The weight is 226g, versus 255g (or 259g) last year.

When folded, the thickness is 9.47mm, making it one of the slimmest foldable phones on the market. It does not beat the Honor Magic V3’s 9.2mm thickness, but when compared to the likes of the Z Fold 6, Vivo X Fold 3 Pro, or the OnePlus Open, the Mix Fold 4 has a slimmer form factor.

Finally, speaking of the camera setup, we know that the periscope telephoto camera offers a 5x optical zoom and has an f/2.9 lens, which sounds the same as Mix Fold 3.
