Xiaomi is not done with smartphone launches as we will see some more phones from the company in coming months. It is already known that the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 is launching in October with a sliding camera, but before that, we will see the Xiaomi Mi 8 Youth launching in China with similar specs as the Mi 8 SE. It is still not confirmed if Xiaomi will launch it as the Mi 8 Youth or the Mi 8X or Mi 8 Lite. Still, the company revealed the launch date of the phone today on its official Weibo page.

The teaser shows that a new Mi 8 series phone is launching on September 19 in China. This is the rumored Xiaomi Mi 8 Youth and talking about the design, we already know how it looks like since the device was spotted on TENAA a few days back. The phone has a horizontal dual camera setup on the rear and a notched display on the front. Talking about the specifications, there is a Snapdragon 710 Processor, 4/6/8GB RAM, 32/64/128GB ROM, 12MP primary rear camera and a 24MP front-facing camera. The device packs a 3,250mAh battery and runs on MIUI with Android 8.1 Oreo.
The phone is coming in Black, Rose gold, Gold, White, Blue, Red, Pink, Gray, Silver, Green, and some Gradient color variants. We are not sure if the company will launch the phone globally since we already have the Xiaomi Mi A2 and the Poco F1 in the mid-range segment. So, launching another phone will make no real sense.
