Xiaomi Mi 10 Youth Edition goes official with 50X Zoom

Xiaomi launched a new smartphone today in China named the Mi 10 Youth Edition, and it is basically the Mi 10 Lite (already official in Europe) but with a few extra features. First, the Xiaomi Mi 10 Youth Edition is a 5G device just like the Mi 10 Lite, but there is an impressive 5X Optical Zoom, thanks to a periscope camera on the rear.

The design remains the same as the Mi 10 Lite, i.e., a Quad camera setup on the rear placed on the top left, and a display with U-shaped notch on the front. The USB Type-C port is on the bottom whereas the 3.5mm headphone jack is on the top. There are five color options – Black, White, Orange, Green, and a Blue-Green Gradient.

There is a 6.57-inch Samsung AMOLED panel on the front with Full-HD+ resolution and 180Hz touch-sampling rate. There is a fingerprint scanner underneath the screen. This screen supports HDR10/HDR10+ playback & has the TÜV Rheinland Certification. For protection, there is Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top.

It is a mid-range device and features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SOC which comes with an integrated 5G modem. So, the phone supports 5G Networks. Xiaomi Mi 10 Youth Edition comes with 6/8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 64/128/256GB UFS 2.1 storage. There is a 4,160mAh battery underneath, and the phone supports 22.5W Fast Charging.

The rear camera can shoot 4K 30fps videos. On the front, there is a 16 Megapixel camera for selfies.
