For the first time since 2016, Xiaomi launched its Mi Flagship in India today, the Xiaomi Mi 10. It is a premium flagship from the brand that is going to compete with the likes of OnePlus 8 and Realme X50 Pro 5G in the Indian market. It is worth mentioning that the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro launched in February in the Chinese market and after three months, the Mi 10 is making its way to the Indian market.
XIAOMI MI 10 – DESIGN & SPECIFICATIONS
Xiaomi Mi 10 is a premium flagship hence it comes with a premium build and design. There is glass on the front as well as the rear and a metal frame. The display on the front is curved on the sides and has a punch-hole cutout on the top left corner for the single selfie shooter. There are Quad cameras placed vertically on the rear, and the phone doesn’t have a headphone jack.
There are stereo speakers on this device, and instead of placing the second speaker in the earpiece, it is placed on the top. The USB Type-C port and the SIM slot are placed on the bottom. Now, while there is no IP certification, the Xiaomi Mi 10 does come with P2i coating so normal splashes of water won’t be much of an issue. There is Fast Wireless Charging support as well, which is definitely a nice feature to have.
Coming to the specs, Xiaomi Mi 10 comes with a 6.67-inch AMOLED Full-HD+ panel with 90Hz refresh rate & 180Hz touch-response rate. There is HDR10+ support & peak brightness of up to 1,120nits. Since it is a premium flagship of 2020, it is no surprise that there is Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 5G SOC paired with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.0 storage.
Mi 10 comes with a 4,780mAh battery and supports 30W Fast Wired Charging as well as 30W Fast Wireless Charging. There is also 10W Reverse Wireless Charging.
The rear camera setup is pretty interesting, especially the primary camera. There is a primary 108 Megapixel sensor with OIS, EIS, 7P Lens and support for 8K Video recording. This camera is paired with a 13 Megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, a 2 Megapixel Macro camera and a 2 Megapixel depth sensor. There is a 20 Megapixel camera for selfies.
