The Xiaomi 13 & 13 Pro were launched in China in December last year, with the 13 Ultra launching in April this year. But while we are still in October, Xiaomi is all set to launch its next flagship phone, the Xiaomi 14, in China. The launch is scheduled for October 26, that is, in a couple of days. At the event, Xiaomi is also launching its “HyperOS,” the new custom skin that Xiaomi will use on its devices instead of MIUI.
Interestingly, with the launch just a few days away, we still haven’t got any significant leaks of the Xiaomi 14, apart from the unofficial renders of the Xiaomi 14 Pro. Xiaomi usually reveals the design of its upcoming phones days before the launch on Weibo, but even that hasn’t happened yet.
The official teasers show the shiny flat frame, a significant design change in the 14 Pro compared to the 13 Pro, which featured a curved display and a rounded frame.
It is reported that only the Xiaomi 14 & 14 Pro will launch on October 26, with the 14 Ultra launching next year. There is not much information on the spec sheet, but it would not be surprising to see Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
Qualcomm launches its next-generation flagship SOC at the Snapdragon Summit each year, and this year, the Snapdragon Summit starts on October 24 and ends on October 26. The Xiaomi 14 will surely be the first smartphone to feature Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
