The Xiaomi 12T was launched last year with a MediaTek Dimensity 8100-ULTRA chipset and a 108MP camera. Today, Xiaomi 13T was launched globally, and this is an upgrade in almost every department. The phone has an upgraded chipset, cameras, and display but downgraded charging. The base variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at €649, the same price as the Xiaomi 12 T’s 8GB + 256GB variant.

Design-wise, the Xiaomi 13T comes in three colors – Black, Meadow Green, and Alpine Blue. The Black & Meadow Green options have a glass back, while the Alpine Blue option gets a BioComfort vegan leather back. The 13T is also IP68 water and dust-resistant, the first for the “T” series phone. There are stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, an under-display fingerprint scanner, and an IR blaster.

The display is a 6.67-inch flat AMOLED with a 1.5K resolution (2712 x 1220 pixels), up to 144Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, 2880Hz PWM dimming, and Gorilla Glass 5. The display has 2600 nits peak brightness and can show 68 Billion colors.

MediaTek Dimensity 8200-ULTRA handles the performance, and as the name suggests, this is a tweaked version of the Dimensity 8200. There is a 5000mm² extra-large stainless steel VC for better thermal management. There is LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.

Xiaomi 13T

The cameras have got some significant upgrades over the Xiaomi 12T. The Xiaomi 13T has three cameras on the rear. The primary camera has a 50MP Sony IMX707, a 1/1.28″ sensor with 1.22μm pixel size, an f/1.9 lens, and OIS. The secondary camera has a 50MP 1/2.88″ OmniVision OV50D sensor, f/1.9 lens, and a 50mm lens. The third camera has a 12MP 1/3.06″ sensor with a 15mm lens. There is support for 4K video recording up to 30fps.

For selfies, the Xiaomi 13T has a 20MP camera.

The battery is 5,000mAh, and there is 67W fast charging, compared to Xiaomi 12 T’s 120W. Finally, MIUI 14 runs out of the box, based on Android 13.
