Earlier this month, we got some renders of the Xiaomi 12, showing us the compact form factor of the phone and also that camera module on the rear. Now, those were not the official renders, meaning that they were made based on some information. But now, we have got the official press renders of the phone, thanks to Evan Blass. He shared the images on Twitter, and we got to see three color options of the phone, one of which has a leather texture on the back.
As the above image shows, the Xiaomi 12 has a 6.28-inch display that is curved on the sides. The green color variant has a leather-like finish on the back, similar to what we saw with the Xiaomi 11, as that phone had Purple & Orange color variants with a leather-like finish on the back. The camera module on the back has a triple camera system in it, and as we can see, the camera module says “50MP,” which confirms the fact that the primary sensor here is a 50MP sensor.
The other two colors revealed by the press renders are Blue & Purple, both of which have a matte finish on the back. So far, we know that the 6.28-inch panel on the front is a Full-HD+ AMOLED with Gorilla Glass Victus protection. That is one downgrade from the Xiaomi 11 of this year that had a 2K panel. There is Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip under the hood & the phone retains 50W fast wireless charging from this year’s Xiaomi 11. There is also 10W reverse wireless charging.
Well, the other specifications are not yet confirmed, even though there are a lot of leaks circulating online that claim to reveal the specifications as well as the price. But, all of those are from unverified sources, so for now, we will wait for information from trusted sources.
