UPDATE – VIVO NOW CONFIRMED SOME MAJOR SPECIFICATIONS

Vivo now posted some new images on Weibo that reveal the key specifications & confirm what we know via various other sources. So yes, there is an AMOLED display with an in-screen fingerprint scanner, a 4,500mAh battery with 22.5W Fast Charging, 48MP primary rear camera, 32MP front camera, Snapdragon 712 with multi-turbo and more.

Vivo is all set to launch yet another mid-ranger in the Chinese market dubbed Z5. The launch is set to happen in China on July 31, so a week is now left for the official unveiling. In fact, the product manager of Vivo has already shared the official press renders of the Vivo Z5 on Weibo that reveal the design from the front as well as the rear.

The design is premium with a glass back & gradient finish. There is a vertical triple camera setup & we can clearly notice the “48MP Triple Camera” text under the camera module. So, this confirms that there is a primary 48MP camera on the rear. There is an in-display fingerprint scanner & the phone has a 6.38-inch AMOLED Full-HD+ screen on the front.

There isn’t any pop-up mechanism or a hole-punch since Vivo Z5 has a waterdrop notch for the single 32MP front camera. We know that there is a secondary 8MP camera on the rear, most likely a wide-angle camera. There is also a third 2MP camera, which is definitely a depth sensor.

Talking about the battery, the Vivo Z5 packs a 4,500mAh battery & supports 22.5W fast charging as well. The processor is expected to be the Snapdragon 712.

As said in the beginning, the launch is set to take place on July 31 in China so let’s see what the price is going to be. Looking at the specifications, it will definitely arrive with an aggressive price tag.
