Just before the end of 2020, Vivo X60 & X60 Pro launched in the Chinese market featuring ZEISS optics and the Exynos 1080 chipset. Later in January this year, Vivo launched the X60 Pro+ in China with the flagship Snapdragon 888 chipset, a 50 Megapixel GN1 sensor, and more. Today, the Vivo X60 Series launched in the Indian market, and all three devices were unveiled today. There are some changes for the Indian market, for example, the X60 & X60 Pro in India have Snapdragon 870 SOC instead of the Exynos 1080 as in China. Pricing-wise, the X60 starts at Rs 37,990, and the price goes as high as Rs 69,990 for the X60 Pro+.

VIVO X60

The main USP of all three phones is that all of them have ZEISS optics, something we saw earlier on Nokia devices. Since the vanilla X60 is the cheapest of the three, it has only three cameras on the back, and none of them is a periscope unit. There is AG Glass with a Satin finish on the back, and on the front, the X60 has a flat-screen with a centered hole-punch cutout.

The panel on the front is a 6.56-inch Flexible AMOLED with a 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch-response rate. It is a Full-HD+ screen that supports HDR10+. The fingerprint scanner sits under the display. As mentioned above, Vivo X60 has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset instead of the Exynos 1080 that the Chinese variant has. As we know, this chip is an upgrade over the Snapdragon 865+ as it features higher CPU clock speeds of up to 3.2GHz.

Camera-wise, there is a primary 48 Megapixel Sony IMX598 sensor with f//1.79 aperture lens and Optical Image Stabilization paired with a 13 Megapixel ultrawide camera and a 13 Megapixel 2X telephoto unit. On the front, there is a 32 Megapixel selfie camera. Vivo X60 has a 4,300mAh battery and supports 33W fast charging via the Type-C port.

VIVO X60 PRO

The Vivo X60 Pro is mostly the same as the X60 except for the fact that there is a display with curved sides instead of a flat panel. Interestingly, while the Chinese version has a periscope camera, Vivo removed the periscope camera from the Indian variant of the X60 Pro. So just like the vanilla X60, it has only three cameras on the back. There is a 6.56-inch Curved AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch-response-rate. The chipset is the same as well, i.e., Snapdragon 870. The battery is a bit smaller than that of X60 at 4,200mAh, but the charging speed remains the same.

The camera setup does get one major upgrade over the vanilla X60. Vivo X60 Pro has a 48 Megapixel Sony IMX589 sensor, the same one that the X60 has. But, the aperture is larger at f/1.48, and there is Gimbal Stabilization 2.0 as well. The other two cameras are the same as on the vanilla variant, i.e., a 13 Megapixel ultrawide and a 13 Megapixel telephoto unit. There is a 32 Megapixel selfie shooter.

VIVO X60 PRO+

Coming to the X60 Pro+ now, it is the highest-end flagship from Vivo currently in the market and comes in just one color option in India. There is vegan-leather on the back and a curved display on the front. The camera module is bigger because it has an extra camera plus the camera sensors are bigger in size. There is a 6.56-inch curved AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch-response-rate. Under the hood, it packs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SOC, and there is a 4,200mAh battery with support for 55W Fast Wired charging. The phone doesn’t come with Wireless Charging support.

The camera setup on this device is really impressive. There is a primary 50 Megapixel sensor, and it is a big 1/1.3″ Samsung GN1 sensor with an f/1.57 aperture lens and OIS. Then there is a secondary 48 Megapixel Sony IMX598 sensor for taking ultrawide shots, and this one features Gimbal Stabilization 2.0. The third camera is a 32 Megapixel telephoto unit with 2X Optical Zoom, and finally, we have an 8 Megapixel periscope unit with 5X Optical Zoom and OIS. The camera on the front is the same as on the other two phones.

VIVO X60 SERIES PRICING IN INDIA

Finally, talking about the pricing of the X60 Series in India, the Vivo X60 comes in two storage options – 8GB + 128GB and 12GB + 256GB. There are two color options named Midnight Black and Shimmer Blue. The 8GB variant is priced at Rs 37,990, while the 12GB variant at Rs 41,990.

The Vivo X60 Pro comes in only one storage option, i.e., 12GB + 256GB. The color options are the same as for the X60, and the price is Rs 49,990.

And last but not the least, there is the X60 Pro+ which comes in Emperor Blue color option and a single 12GB + 256GB storage option. It is priced at Rs 69,990.

The pre-orders have begun today, and all three phones will be up for grabs on the 2nd of April.
