Vivo X300 Pro camera specifications leaked

The new camera king?

The Vivo X200 & X200 Pro were launched in the Chinese market in October last year. Later in December, the phones were launched in India. The ‘X’ series from Vivo is known for camera-centric phones, and the X200 series was no different. The Vivo X200 Pro is still one of the best camera phones on the market. The phone was launched with a triple camera setup that included a 1/1.28-inch 50MP Sony LYT-818 sensor for the primary camera and a massive 1/1.4″ 200MP Samsung HP9 sensor for the periscope telephoto camera.

The Vivo X300 series is launching soon, and while we are yet to know what the phones look like, the camera specifications of the Vivo X300 Pro have leaked, courtesy of Digital Chat Station on Weibo.

The Vivo X300 Pro has a triple camera setup on the rear. The primary camera uses a 1/1.28-inch 50MP Sony LYT-828 sensor, an upgraded version of the X200 Pro’s LYT-818 sensor. The main USP of this sensor is its Hybrid Frame-HDR technology that enables it to achieve a dynamic range of over 100dB, the highest among all the smartphone sensors from Sony. Compared to the Vivo X200 Pro’s CIPA 4.5-level image stabilization, the Vivo X300 Pro gets an upgraded CIPA 5.5-level image stabilization.

The ultrawide camera uses a 50MP sensor, but there is no information on the sensor’s name.

The third camera has a periscope telephoto lens and features a 1/1.4″ 200MP Samsung HPB sensor with an 85mm lens. This is an upgraded version of Samsung’s HP9 sensor, which was used on the X200 Pro. This is a sensor customized exclusively for Vivo by Samsung.

The phone also has Vivo’s V3+ and VS1 chips for better image processing.

We already know that the Vivo X300 Pro has the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset and supports 90W wired charging. There are rumors of a 7,000mAh battery, up from 6,000mAh last year.

Well, the Vivo X300 Pro is going to be the camera phone to beat this year when it launches in October. Let’s see how the cameras perform in the real world and how big of an upgrade they are versus the Vivo X200 Pro.
