Vivo X100 specifications leaked ahead of the launch

Powered by MediaTek Dimensity 9300!

Vivo’s X series includes the company’s camera-centric flagship phones. Last year, in November, the Vivo X90 series was launched in China with the MediaTek Dimensity 9200 chipset. On November 13, the Vivo X100 series is launching in China, and today, ahead of the official launch, the specifications of the vanilla model were shared by 91Mobiles.

It is also worth mentioning that Vivo has already announced the starting price of the X100, which is ¥3999 (around $549). Interestingly, this is the same price at which Xiaomi 14 was launched last month. So, the Xiaomi 14 is the main rival of the X100 in China.

Vivo X100 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 chipset, paired with LPDDR5T RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. Developed by Sk Hynix, the LPDDR5T (Low Power Double Data Rate 5 Turbo) RAM is 12.5% faster than the LPDDR5X RAM, making it the World’s Fastest Mobile DRAM.

The phone has a 6.78-inch 120Hz AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution (2800 x 1260 pixels). On paper, this is the same panel as the Vivo X90, but we expect some improvements in brightness or power consumption. The battery is 5,000mAh, up from 4,810mAh last year. The charging speed is the same at 120W, and there is no wireless charging support.

Vivo X100 has a pretty impressive camera setup on paper. There are three cameras on the rear. The primary camera has a 50MP sensor with an f/1.6 lens and OIS, the ultrawide camera has a 50MP sensor with an f/2.0 lens, and the periscope telephoto camera (3x optical zoom) has a 64MP sensor with an f/2.6 lens and OIS. As per Digital Chat Station, the primary camera has a Sony LYT8 series sensor (internally codenamed IMX920). The ultrawide camera has a Samsung JN1 sensor, and the periscope camera has an OV64B sensor.

The selfie camera has a 32MP sensor with an f/2.0 lens. Despite having a bigger battery, the thickness has not increased much (8.5mm vs 8.48mm). The phone weighs 205g (vs 200g).

The phone runs on Android 14-based OriginOS 4, has WiFi 7, and supports Bluetooth 5.4. Vivo X100 supports India’s NavIC satellite navigation system, the same as the X90.
