Alongside its third folding phone, the Vivo X Fold 2, Vivo launched its first clamshell folding phone in the Chinese market. Vivo X Flip

Design-wise, the phone comes in three colors, each with a different pattern. There is a large cover display & a dual camera setup with a circular camera module. The fingerprint sensor is placed on the side, and the type-C port is on the bottom (Type 2.0). There is a droplet hinge with a 5.3mm diameter, resulting in a less visible crease.

The folding display is a 6.74-inch LTPO AMOLED with 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, 10-bit color depth, and 2520 × 1080 pixels resolution.

The cover display has a 3-inch AMOLED panel with a 682 × 422 pixels resolution. The refresh rate is 60Hz. Since the cover display is pretty large, you can use various apps designed to be used on a screen of this size. For example, you can chat with your friends using the external display, navigate using the Maps application, watch videos, make calls, check the weather, play music, and more.

The dual camera setup on the outside has a 50MP Sony IMX866v sensor with OIS & a 12MP ultrawide camera. The selfie shooter has a 32MP sensor. Since the cover display is so large, you can use the outer cameras to take selfies. Also, while taking someone’s photo, the person can see the preview on the external display, which is quite convenient.

Vivo X Flip

Vivo X Flip has a 4,400mAh battery and supports 44W fast wired charging. Finally, Android 13 runs out of the box with OriginOS on top.
