Vivo V40e launched in India with a 50MP selfie camera

In May, the Vivo V30e was launched in the Indian market with a 50MP selfie camera and a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SOC. Today, the brand launched its successor in the Indian market, the Vivo V40e. The phone follows the footprints of its predecessor, and so it too has a 50MP camera for selfies. There are upgrades in the design, the performance, and the charging speed.

Design-wise, the Vivo V40e has a similar design language as the Vivo V40 & V40 Pro. There is a dual camera setup on the rear with an LED flash and a ring flash. There is a curved display on the front with a hole punch cutout in the middle. The phone is 7.49mm slim, and the weight is 183g. The phone has a stereo speaker setup and an under-display fingerprint scanner.

Under the hood, the phone uses the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. The battery is 5,500mAh, and the phone supports 80W fast charging. The display is a 6.77-inch 120Hz 10-bit AMOLED with a Full-HD+ resolution and HDR10+ support.

In terms of cameras, we are looking at a primary 50MP Sony IMX882 sensor on the rear with OIS support and an 8MP ultrawide camera. The selfie camera has a 50MP sensor with autofocus.

Finally, the phone runs on Android 14-based FuntouchOS 14 out of the box.
