Last month, the Vivo V23 series launched in India, with the main highlight being the color-changing back design. We got two phones under that series named V23 & V23 Pro, with both being premium mid-range devices starting at ₹29,990 and ₹38,990, respectively. Today, Vivo launched yet another phone in India under this series named the Vivo V23e. This phone is priced at ₹25,990, and for this price tag, it offers the MediaTek Dimensity 810 5G SOC, a 44MP selfie camera, a premium design, etc.
Design-wise, the phone has a glass back with a Matte finish, so fingerprints are not going to be an issue. The phone does not have any color-changing back design like its more expensive siblings. The phone is quite slim at just 7.32mm (On the official website, Vivo mentions the thickness as 7.41mm for the Sunshine Gold color option) and also weighs just 172g. The phone has quite an old-school design on the front with that waterdrop notch and a big chin on the bottom. There is no 3.5mm headphone jack, but Vivo does offer a 3.5mm adapter in the box.
On the front, there is an AMOLED panel, and it is a 6.44-inch Full-HD+ 60Hz display. Under the hood, you get the Dimensity 810 5G SOC which is the same chip powering the Poco M4 Pro 5G priced at ₹14,999, i.e., almost ₹11,000 lower than what the V23e costs. The battery size is 4,050mAh, and the phone supports 44W fast charging.
Finally, in terms of cameras, there is a triple camera setup on the back where the primary shooter has a 50MP sensor with an f/1.8 aperture lens. The ultrawide camera has an 8MP sensor, and finally, there is a 2MP macro camera. On the front, you get a 44MP sensor for selfies. Android 12 runs out of the box with FunTouchOS 12 running on top.
In India, Vivo V23e comes in Midnight Blue and Sunshine Gold. The price is ₹25,990, and you get only one storage option – 8GB + 128GB. You can buy the phone via Vivo India’s website or the company’s offline stores.
