Last month, Vivo U10 launched in India with pretty solid specifications at a starting price of Rs 8,990 that include Snapdragon 665 SOC, 18W Fast Charging, 5,000mAh battery, & triple rear cameras. The phone launched in China as the Vivo U3x. Now, Vivo U3 is already up on the official site & looking at the specifications, it is an upgraded version of the U3x.
It is worth mentioning that while the phone is already up on the site, the launch is set to happen on October 21st in China.
VIVO U3 – DESIGN & SPECIFICATIONS
When it comes to the design, there is almost no difference when you compare it with the design of U3x or Vivo U10. The only difference is on the rear where the LED flash is placed with the cameras in a single module. The fingerprint scanner is there on the rear & on the front, there is a screen with Waterdrop notch. It is a shame that despite being a mid-range device, it has a micro-USB port instead of USB Type-C.
On the front, the Vivo U3 has a 6.53-inch Full-HD+ IPS LCD panel. Under the hood, there is 11nm octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 SOC with the Adreno 612 GPU. Coming to the storage, the phone comes with 4/6GB RAM & 64GB storage.
There is a triple camera setup on the rear that includes a primary 16 Megapixel shooter with f/1.78 aperture, a secondary 8 Megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera & a 2 Megapixel depth sensor. On the front, there is a 16 Megapixel selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture.
The Vivo U3 has a massive 5,000mAh battery & there is also 18W Fast Charging, so that’s great. The same is the case with the Vivo U3x or U10 that also has a similar-sized battery & 18W Fast Charging. Android 9 Pie runs out of the box with FunTouch OS 9 on top.
Some other features include Game Space, Jovi AI Assistant, Multi-Turbo, etc.
VIVO U3 – PRICING & AVAILABILITY
