Tecno is launching phones in the Indian market since 2016 & so far, we have seen quite a lot of budget offerings from the brand. Today, the Tecno Spark Power launched in India & as the name suggests, the main USP of this phone is its battery. This is the only phone priced under Rs 10,000 in India that offers a massive 6,000mAh battery.
It is worth mentioning that this isn’t the only phone under Rs 20,000 to offer such a big battery. There is the Samsung Galaxy M30s at around Rs 13,999 that offers the same sized battery.
TECNO SPARK POWER – DESIGN & SPECIFICATIONS
It is a budget phone, so there isn’t anything special in terms of the design. The phone features a display with a U-shaped notch on top & a big bottom bezel. There are triple cameras & the fingerprint scanner on the rear. On the bottom, there is the 3.5mm headphone jack, the micro-USB port & the speaker grill.
The volume rockers and the power button are there on the right side, whereas the dedicated button to activate the Google Assistant is there on the left, which is in the red color.
On the front is a 6.35-inch HD+ AMOLED panel with a resolution of 720 x 1548 Pixels. Well, an AMOLED panel instead of an LCD or a TFT panel is definitely great at this price. Under the hood, the Tecno Spark Power has the octa-core 12nm MediaTek Helio P22 SOC paired with 4GB RAM & 64GB internal storage. For memory expansion, there is a dedicated microSD card slot.
Coming to the cameras on the Tecno Spark Power, the phone has triple rear cameras that include a primary 13MP f/2.0 unit, a secondary 8 Megapixel wide-angle lens & a third 2MP depth sensor. The wide-angle-camera can also take macro photos. On the front, there is a 13MP camera for selfies.
Finally, the battery is the main USP of this phone as it is a massive 6,000mAh cell that’s more than enough to last more than a day on heavy usage. Moreover, considering that there is a low-resolution AMOLED display & 12nm SOC, this thing is a battery monster for sure. There is no fast charging, though.
