Last year in August, Tecno Pova 2 was launched in India with a massive 7,000mAh battery and 18W fast charging. Today, the successor, Tecno Pova 3, was launched in India. The ‘POVA’ series from Tecno is known for large batteries, and this phone is no exception. It retains the large 7,000mAh battery of the Tecno Pova 2 but upgrades the charging speed from 18W to 33W. There are upgrades in other areas, such as performance, camera & display.
Design-wise, the phone looks quite beautiful and unique. There is a stereo speaker setup & a Z-axis linear motor. The fingerprint scanner is on the side and doubles as a power button. On the front, there is a hole punch in the middle for the selfie camera. For better cooling, the company added a Graphene film underneath the back panel.
Speaking of the main USP of Tecno Pova 3, there is a 7,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. So, the charging speed is almost double compared to the Tecno Pova 2. The company says a 33W adapter can charge the battery up to 50% in 40 minutes. You can use the phone as a power bank since it supports 10W reverse charging.
On the front, Tecno Pova 3 has a 6.9-inch Full-HD+ 90Hz LCD with a 180Hz touch-sampling rate. The hole punch cutout has an 8MP sensor. On the rear, there is a triple camera setup that includes a 50MP primary sensor and two 2MP sensors. Android 12-based HiOS 8.6 runs out of the box.
Finally, coming to the pricing & availability, Tecno Pova 3 comes in three colors named Electric Blue, Tech Silver, and ECO Black. The introductory price starts at ₹11,499. It will go on sale in India starting 27th of June.
