In the first week of January this year, we got the CAD renders of the Sony Xperia 5 Plus that revealed a beautiful design. The renders suggested a notch-less display on the front with bezel-less design, stereo front-firing speakers, & a triple camera setup + ToF on the back. Sony is now teasing the launch of a new smartphone on February 24th & it is most likely the Xperia 5 Plus.
How can we say that it could be the Xperia 5 Plus you may ask? Well, if you take a look at the teaser, it says ‘5EE YOU THERE’ in the end, which suggests it is a smartphone under the Xperia 5 series. The Sony Xperia 5 launched last year as a premium flagship, so it makes sense if the Sony Xperia 5 Plus launches on February 24th as the next premium flagship from the brand.
The CAD renders have already revealed the design & we also know that the phone has a 6.6-inch OLED panel on the front & an 8 Megapixel selfie camera. Moreover, the phone has a 3.5mm headphone jack as per the CAD renders, which is a surprise since the Xperia 5 didn’t have it!
Let’s hope Sony prices this device well since that’s the only thing the company misses out on every time.
