Recently, we got to know the pricing of Galaxy Z Fold 3 & Z Flip 3 for the Indian market. If you aren’t aware yet, both these phones are scheduled to launch on the 11th of August at the Unpacked event. While there are still a few days left for the event, we have already received a ton of details of both these phones already. Now, the full spec sheet of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 was shared by WinFuture.
Design-wise, the Galaxy Z Flip 3 features an aluminum frame & Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection on the front & back. It is IPX8 certified as well.
Samsung also worked on improving the hinge as the Z Flip 3 can be opened and closes 200,000 times without any issue. This means that if you open and close this phone 100 times a day, then this hinge will keep working without any issues for the next five years! The dual-camera setup on the back is now placed vertically instead of horizontally, and the reason for that is the increased size of the outer display. Compared to the 1.1-inch (112 x 300 pixels) Super AMOLED on the Z Flip of last year, it is now a 1.9-inch Super AMOLED panel with a resolution of 260 x 512 pixels.
The foldable display on the inside is the same sized panel as the last year’s model. So, it is a 6.7-inch flexible Dynamic AMOLED panel with a resolution of 2640 x 1080 pixels. The display refreshes 120 times every second, so that’s a huge upgrade from last year.
Camera-wise, we are looking at a dual-camera setup on the back that includes a primary 12 Megapixel primary with OIS, 1.4-micron pixel size & f/1.8 aperture, along with a 12 Megapixel ultrawide. So, it seems like there is no upgrade in the camera setup since it is the same as on the Z Flip. There is the same 10 Megapixel selfie camera as well. The battery size also remains the same at 3,300mAh.
Under the hood, there is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SOC paired with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB or 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. So, performance-wise, there is definitely a massive jump over the Snapdragon 855+ of the Galaxy Z Flip 4G & 865+ of Z Flip 5G.
In terms of the dimensions, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 (6.9mm) seems to be slightly thinner than the Z Flip (7.2mm). Other features include a side-facing fingerprint scanner, Bluetooth 5.0, 5G support, Fast wired charging, Wireless charging, Stereo Speakers, etc.
The phone is coming in three colors named Black, Cream & Lavender.
As we talked about in our previous article, the starting price of the Z Flip 3 is reported to stay between ₹80,000-₹90,000 in India. For Europe, it will be €1,099 for the base variant & €1,149 for the 256GB variant.
