Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 press renders reveal dual cameras & an S-Pen

When it comes to tablets, there are only a few brands like Samsung, Apple, Huawei, etc. that are still making them. Apple is probably the most popular company when it comes to tablets & with the latest iPad with iPad OS, it completely changed the way we used to see tablets.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e is 5.5mm thin

Samsung recently launched the Galaxy Tab S5e & it is the thinnest tablet that Samsung has ever made at 5.5mm. But that’s not the only tablet launching this year. Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 launch is just around the corner as it is expected to be unveiled alongside the Note 10 on August 7.

Today, the official press renders of the tablet leaked that were shared by folks over at Android Headlines. These press renders reveal some interesting things about the design.

SAMSUNG GALAXY TAB S6 PRESS RENDERS

The design of the Samsung Galaxy tab S6 isn’t different from that of the S5e. There is the same premium metal unibody design, the similar display with uniform bezels all around, the same Antenna lines on the rear and more. There is “Sound by AKG” branding on the back that suggests the S6 has the same Quad Speaker system sound by the AKG that we have on the S5e.

One of the major changes is the addition of an extra camera on the rear. So far, we had a single rear camera, but with the Galaxy Tab S6, Samsung is going for a dual-camera setup.

There are rumors that the secondary camera is just a TOF sensor, but we would love to have an ultra-wide-angle camera. There are reports of a 13MP primary camera and a 5MP secondary ultra-wide-angle camera. As the renders above suggest, the S-Pen can be attached on the rear of the tablet.

The previously leaked hands-on images have already revealed that there is a groove on the back for the S-Pen. It is rumored that the S Pen can be wirelessly charged by attaching it on the rear of the tablet.

Just like the Galaxy Tab S5e, you can buy a keyboard accessory for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 to get a physical keyboard for the tab. It looks like Samsung is ditching the headphone jack with the Galaxy Tab S6 as there are no signs of one on the top or bottom.

The position of the fingerprint scanner is also unknown for now. So, either it is on the side or under the display.

There are three colors options to choose from – Rose Gold, Grey & Blue. Now, there could be other colors as well, but as of now, these are the three that can be confirmed.

As mentioned in the beginning, the launch is expected to take place on August 7 with the Galaxy Note 10. It is reported that there is Snapdragon 855 & a 10.5-inch display. The rest of the specifications are not yet known.
