Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra specs, price & official renders are here

So it looks like nothing is now left to know about this phone

Recently, we got the official renders of the Galaxy S21, S21+ & the S21 Ultra that were shared by WinFuture and well now, the website has shared the full specifications of the S21 Ultra as well as the pricing and the renders in all colors. The specs that were shared are the detailed specifications, so after this, we now know every bit of Samsung’s best phone of the first half of 2021. We have already talked about the design in our previous article, so let’s jump straight to the specifications.

The phone has a 6.8-inch Infinity-O display with curved edges & it is a Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with WQHD+ resolution (3200 x 1440 pixels). The refresh rate can go as low as 1Hz & as high as 120Hz depending on what’s on display. There is Corning Gorilla Glass Victus on top & the peak brightness is 1,600nits. In short, this is definitely going to have the best display on any smartphone when it launches, something that is always the case with Samsung’s highest-end premium flagships.

Like always, the chipset depends on the market. In Europe, the Galaxy S21 Ultra is coming with the Exynos 2100 SOC while in the US, it will be powered by the Snapdragon 888 SOC. But unlike last year where there was a big difference between the Exynos & Snapdragon SOCs in terms of the performance, the Exynos 2100 has the same configuration as the Snapdragon 888 and is even better in some cases such as the clock speed of the cores. Exynos 2100 has an octa-core CPU that comes with one ultra-high performance core that is clocked at 2.9GHz and is expected to be the Cortex X1. There are three high-performance cores that are expected to be the Cortex-A78s, and they’re clocked at up to 2.8GHz. Finally, there are four power-efficient cores clocked at 2.4GHz.

The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is coming with 12GB RAM & 128/256/512GB storage.

Coming to the cameras now, the Galaxy S21 Ultra comes with four rear cameras. The primary shooter has a 1/1.33″ 108 Megapixel HM3 sensor with Optical Image Stabilization, 0.8-micron pixels, & f/1.8 aperture. It can shoot 8K videos at 30 frames per second. There is a secondary 12 Megapixel camera for taking ultra-wide shots & it comes with 120-degree FOV, f/2.2 aperture, 1.4-micron pixel size. Then there is a 10 Megapixel telephoto camera featuring 3X Optical Zoom, OIS, & f/2.4 aperture. Finally, there is a 10 Megapixel periscope camera with 10X Optical Zoom, OIS, and f/4.9 aperture. All the four cameras are capable of 4K video recording at 60 frames per second.

On the front, there is a 40 Megapixel camera with 0.7-micron pixel size & f/2.2 aperture.

Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra has a 5,000mAh battery and supports 45W Fast Wired charging and also Fast Wireless charging. Just like Apple, Samsung won’t ship the phone with a power brick in the box so you will only get a USB Type-C cable. In fact, you are not going to get the AKG earphones that you used to get with premium Samsung flagships.

Speaking of some other specs, there is IP68 rating, Stereo speakers, Ultrasonic Fingerprint scanner, Android 11 based OneUI 3.1, WiFi 6 support, 5G, S-Pen support etc.

Finally, talking about the pricing, WinFuture says that the phone is going to cast at least 1,399 Euro in the European market, which translates to around $1,700. But obviously, the pricing will vary depending on the market.
