Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite launches in India at Rs 39,999

A couple of days after the launch of Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite in India, Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite launched in India today. It is a flagship that is going to compete with the likes of OnePlus flagships in the Indian market since it comes at a price tag of Rs 39,999. Interestingly, apart from the Galaxy Fold, the S10 Lite is the only phone from Samsung that has Snapdragon 855 in India.

Design-wise, the Galaxy S10 Lite is similar to the Note 10 Lite. While the back looks like glass, it is actually glossy plastic-like Samsung’s Galaxy A-series phones. This is not an issue since the S10 Lite doesn’t have wireless charging. On the front, there is a flat display with a hole-punch on top with a single selfie camera.

There is a rectangular camera module on the back with three cameras & the LED flash. The camera module also has the “Super Steady OIS” text on it.

Unlike the Galaxy Note 10 Lite, the S10 Lite doesn’t have a headphone jack, so that’s a major con.

Coming to the specifications, the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite has a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED Plus display with Full-HD+ resolution. It has Snapdragon 855 SOC which is the flagship chipset of last year from Qualcomm. There is 8GB RAM & 128GB internal storage, with the option to expand the storage up to 1TB.

Talking about the cameras, there is a triple camera setup on the back that includes a primary 48-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture, a secondary 12 Megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens with 123-degree FOV & a third 5 Megapixel Macro lens. The primary camera has Super Steady OIS.

On the front, there is a 32 Megapixel selfie shooter.

Finally, there is a 4,500mAh battery with Fast Charging & Android 10 runs out of the box with OneUI 2.0 on top.

The phone is up for pre-order & will be available to buy starting February 4th. So, what do you think about the price tag of Rs 39,999? Do let us know via the comments section.
