The Samsung Galaxy M55 is now official in Brazil, and this is the most feature-packed phone in Samsung’s portfolio of the “M” series. As the name suggests, this is the successor to the Galaxy M54, launched with an Exynos 1380 SOC last year. The phone is expected to launch in other markets, including India, in the coming weeks. In Brazil, the price is 2,999 Brazilian Real, which translates to around $600, or ₹50,000.

There is nothing new in terms of the design. The phone looks identical to other Samsung phones, so there is a vertically placed triple camera setup on the rear, a flat display with a hole punch cutout in the center, and a rounded frame. The phone comes with stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, but no 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone has a polycarbonate build, and the weight is 180g. The phone is also quite slim at 7.8mm.

Speaking of the specifications, the Samsung Galaxy M55 has a 6.7-inch 120Hz Super AMOLED Plus display with a Full-HD+ resolution and an under-display fingerprint sensor. The peak brightness of the panel is 1000 nits.

Under the hood, the phone has the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, a 4nm-based SOC with an octa-core CPU clocked at 2.4GHz. In Brazil, the phone has launched in only one variant – 8GB + 256GB.

The battery is 5,000mAh and the phone supports 45W fast wired charging.

The camera setup is interesting, too. There are three cameras on the rear – a 50MP primary with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 2MP macro. For selfies, the phone uses a 50MP sensor, making it the Samsung phone with the highest-resolution selfie camera.

The Galaxy M55 runs on Android 14-based OneUI, and will get four Android updates.
