On June 11, Samsung is going to launch the Galaxy M40 in India & as the name suggests, it is a successor to the Galaxy M30 which launched with a triple camera setup around Rs 15,000 in India. The Galaxy M40 is going to be even more interesting since it will feature an Infinity-O display, making the M40 probably the first phone under Rs 20,000 to come with a hole-punch screen.
Now, some more specifications of the Samsung Galaxy M40 leaked that were shared by Sammobile.
The Galaxy M40 has a 6.3-inch Full-HD+ Infinity-O display with a resolution of 2340×1080 pixels. There is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor which is an 11nm chip paired with Adreno 612 GPU. The phone comes with 6GB RAM & 128GB internal storage.
Now, unlike the Galaxy M30, the Samsung Galaxy M40 doesn’t have a massive 5,000mAh battery underneath. Instead, the phone has a 3,500mAh battery. There are triple cameras on the rear that include a primary 32MP camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle secondary camera & a third 5MP depth sensor. There is a single 16MP selfie camera placed in that hole-punch.
Android 9 Pie runs out of the box, making the Galaxy M40 first “M” series phone to launch with Android Pie. The launch is happening on June 11 in India & the price will be around Rs 20,000 or $287.
