The Samsung Galaxy M35 is now official in the Indian market, and it is the successor to the Galaxy M34, launched last year with an Exynos 1280 chipset and a 6,000mAh battery. The Galaxy M35 brings some notable upgrades, both in the internals as well as the design. The ₹19,999 starting price remains the same as last year.
Design-wise, one big upgrade this year is the hole-punch cutout for the selfie camera, versus a waterdrop notch last year. The protection has been upgraded from Gorilla Glass 5 to Gorilla Glass Victus+. The back and the frame are still made of plastic, but the back has a textured finish for better grip. The phone lacks a 3.5mm headphone jack, which the Galaxy M34 had last year. But, instead of a mono speaker, the Galaxy M35 gets a stereo speaker setup.
The fingerprint sensor is present on the side.
Speaking of the specifications, the chipset is upgraded from the Exynos 1280 to the Exynos 1380. This is a 5nm chipset with a CPU clocked at up to 2.4GHz. Samsung claims an AnTuTu score of over 595,000 points. There is LPDDR4X RAM with UFS 2.2 storage. The battery is 6,000mAh, and there is 25W fast charging support.
The display is a 6.6-inch 120Hz Super AMOLED with 1000 nits of brightness.
In terms of cameras, there is a 50MP primary rear camera with OIS, paired with an 8MP ultrawide and a 2MP macro. The selfie camera has a 13MP sensor, versus a 16MP sensor on the Galaxy M34.
The Samsung Galaxy M34 runs on Android 14-based OneUI and will receive four Android OS updates.
