Samsung Galaxy M02s officially teased, to launch on January 7

It is a budget phone that will be priced under Rs 10,000

Samsung will launch a new budget-centric “M” series device in India on the 7th of January named the Galaxy M02s & as the name suggests, this is an upgrade to the Galaxy M01s that launched last year. The official page with some teasers is now live on Amazon which not only reveals the highlights of the device but also confirms that the phone is Amazon exclusive in India. One word that you are going to see in every teaser of this phone is “MAX” and that’s because the main USP of this device is its big battery and big display.

As the teasers reveal, the Samsung Galaxy M02s has a waterdrop notch on the front or in other words, an Infinity-V display. It is a 6.5-inch HD+ panel and since Samsung didn’t mention the panel type, it is most likely an LCD. Under the hood, there is an unknown Snapdragon SOC instead of an Exynos chip. It is paired with 4GB RAM and there is a 5,000mAh battery.

As the above teaser shows, the Galaxy M02s has a triple camera setup on the rear placed in a rectangular camera module and there is a USB Type-C port. There is also a textured finish on the rear panel. We don’t see any fingerprint scanner on the rear or on the right side so it looks like the phone doesn’t have one at all!

So that’s all we know so far and there is no exact price leak yet but it would better be priced under Rs 10,000 in India.
