The Samsung Galaxy A90 (or A80) is expected to be the star at April 10th launch event where Samsung would launch a couple of A series phones. So far, we know that this one is a different phone from the company as it would have the Notchless Infinity display & a unique pop-up + rotating camera mechanism. Now, some major specifications leaked via Weibo, and if they’re legit, then this would be a pretty impressive phone from Samsung.
So, as per a user on Weibo, the Galaxy A90 has a 6.7-inch AMOLED Notchless Infinity display with a Full-HD+ resolution (1080x 2400). Interestingly, the recently announced Galaxy A70 too has a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with the same resolution.
The Samsung Galaxy A90 is powered by the SDM7150 processor that is not yet announced. Some sources suggest that it would be like a ‘Lite’ version of Snapdragon 855. There are 2x high-performance cores clocked at up to 2.2GHz & 6x cores clocked at 1.7GHz. Underneath, the phone has a 3,700mAh battery that supports 25W Fast charging as well.
Coming to the cameras, there is a triple camera setup that includes a primary 48MP sensor, a secondary 8MP f/2.4 camera (probably a telephoto) & finally a ToF camera. As mentioned in the beginning, there is a pop-up camera with a rotary mechanism. So, there is a single camera setup that works for both the front as well as the rear. Moreover, the source claimed that the Galaxy A90 has sound on display technology which means the screen acts as a speaker.
The dimensions are 76.5mm x 165.0mm x 9.0mm & the phone weighs around 219 grams.
Well, nothing can be confirmed as of now but the launch is nearing and less than a week is now left for the unveiling. Are you excited? Do let us know what your expectations with the Samsung Galaxy A90 are.
