Early renders reveal how the Samsung Galaxy A72 5G looks like

It is the successor to the Galaxy A71 5G of this year

In April this year, Samsung launched the Galaxy A71 5G, which, as the name shows, came with 5G support. In the US, the phone launched with the Snapdragon 765G SOC whereas globally, it arrived with the Exynos 980. Samsung will be upgrading the device soon as we now have the early renders of the Samsung Galaxy A72 5G & these were shared by reputed tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer aka OnLeaks.

Design-wise, the Galaxy A72 5G looks similar to the Galaxy A52 5G & in case you don’t know, OnLeaks has already shared the renders of A52 5G. The A72 5G is bigger in size than the A52 5G due to a larger display, but there is not much change in the design. There is the same Infinity-O display on the front with the hole-punch cutout placed in the middle. There is a Quad camera array on the rear that is placed in a rectangular camera module. The rear panel is made of Glossy plastic or what Samsung likes to call as “Glasstic”. The frame is made out of Aluminum.

It is a mid-range phone from Samsung with 5G support & the company didn’t decide to remove the headphone jack which is a good thing. The headphone jack is positioned on the bottom alongside the USB Type-C port & the speaker grill.

According to OnLeaks, the Samsung Galaxy A72 5G has a 6.7-inch panel & without the camera bump, the thickness of the phone is 8.1mm. But including the bump, the phone is 9.9mm thick. This shows that there is a pretty significant camera bump.

We don’t have any information about the specifications yet, but now that the renders are here, we are expecting to know the specs soon. The Galaxy A71 5G is currently retailing in the US for $364.99, so we can expect the Galaxy A72 5G to start at well under $500-$550.
