A few days ago, Samsung announced the Galaxy A53 and Galaxy A33 globally, featuring the Exynos 1280 SOC, IP67 certification, OIS for the primary rear camera, etc. Today, Samsung Galaxy A53 launched in India, and the price starts at ₹34,999. Last year, the Galaxy A52s launched at ₹35,999, and it was considered a bit overpriced, so it is good to see that this time, at least the price is not above that of A52s.
As we know already, the Samsung Galaxy A53 packs the Exynos 1280 SOC, which is built on the 5nm process. Compared to the Snapdragon 750G of Galaxy A52 5G, the Exynos 1280 SOC offers up to 33% better graphics performance and 43% faster neural performance. There is 6GB or 8GB RAM and 128GB storage that is expandable up to 1TB via a microSD card.
The display on the front is a 6.5-inch FHD+ AMOLED with a 120Hz refresh rate. There is a Quad camera setup on the back with a primary 64MP sensor with OIS, a 12MP sensor for ultrawide shots, a 5MP macro, and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies, there is a 32MP camera on the front.
There is a 5,000mAh battery, and the phone supports 25W charging. Other features include stereo speakers, Gorilla Glass 5 on the front, Knox security, Game Boost, under-display fingerprint scanner, etc.
In India, Samsung Galaxy A53 5G comes in two storage options. The 6GB + 128GB variant is priced at ₹34,999, whereas the 8GB + 128GB variant at ₹35,999. The sale starts on the 25th of March.
