Recently, the 6GB variant of Galaxy A50 showed up on Geekbench with the 10nm Exynos 9610 processor and Android Pie. Just like the ‘M’ series, the ‘A’ series is getting some new devices in upcoming months like the Galaxy A40, A50, A90, etc. Today, the Samsung Galaxy A40 (SM-A405FN) visited Geekbench, and the listing revealed the chipset, the RAM and the Android version.

So, according to Geekbench, the processor that powers the A40 is the Exynos 7885. For your information, this is the same processor that we are expecting in the Galaxy M20 that will launch on January 28 in India. It is a 14nm processor with high-performance Cortex-A73 cores clocked at up to 2.2GHz. The performance of this chip is somewhat similar to or better than the Snapdragon 636.
Apart from the processor, the Geekbench listing also revealed that the Samsung Galaxy A40 runs on Android 9 Pie out of the box and there is 4GB RAM. On single core, the phone scored around 1300 and around 4000 on multi-core.
We don’t know when Samsung is going to launch these new A-series phones so stay tuned.
