The pricing has leaked ahead of the official launch!

At the beginning of this month, Samsung launched the Galaxy A22 4G & A22 5G in the European markets, where both these phones featured the MediaTek SOCs. Now, Samsung is preparing to launch the 4G variant in the Indian market. The Samsung Galaxy A22 (4G) is coming to India soon & the pricing has already leaked ahead of the official unveiling. It was shared by 91Mobiles, and they got to know the price via the offline retail stores. The phone with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage will reportedly launch for Rs 18,499.

This is a mid-range phone with the looks of a budget device. There is an old-school waterdrop notch on the front & the reason for that is an AMOLED panel instead of an LCD. There is also a noticeable chin on the bottom. On the back, there are four cameras placed in a square-shaped camera module. The fingerprint scanner is on the side instead of under the display. Finally, there is a USB Type-C port on the bottom, along with a headphone jack.

Samsung Galaxy A22 has a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED panel, but it is a 720p screen, so that’s a big disappointment. At this price, we have phones like the Note 10 Pro, which offers 120Hz FHD+ AMOLED panels, but Samsung, for some reason, decided to offer an HD+ display. In fact, what’s funnier is the fact that the recently launched Galaxy M32 has a 90Hz Full-HD+ AMOLED for a lower price than the Galaxy A22.

Anyways, the chipset is Helio G80 & there is a 5,000mAh battery with support for 15W fast charging. The Quad camera setup includes a primary 48-megapixel camera that has OIS, so that’s impressive. It is paired with an 8 Megapixel ultrawide camera and two 2 Megapixel sensors. There is a 13 Megapixel selfie camera.

It is still a mystery when the phone will be available to buy online since it is only available offline at the moment.
