Redmi Pad 2 set to launch in India on June 18

Features a 9,000mAh battery!

The Redmi Pad was the company’s first Android tablet, launched in 2022. Later, the brand launched some more tablets, including the Redmi Pad SE, Redmi Pad SE 4G, Redmi Pad Pro 5G, and Redmi Pad Pro WiFi. The brand is now all set to unveil the Redmi Pad 2 in India. It is worth mentioning that the Redmi Pad 2 was recently launched in Europe, and it is a budget Android tablet.

In India, the launch date is June 18, meaning we still have almost two weeks left.

Redmi Pad 2

Since the Redmi Pad 2 is a budget Android tablet, it lacks 5G. Moreover, there are thick bezels around the display, clearly showing that this is a budget tablet. The tablet has a unibody metal design, and there is a single rear camera. The tablet features a quad-speaker setup with Dolby Atmos, and there is a 3.5mm headphone jack on the bottom.

Speaking of the specifications, the Redmi Pad 2 is powered by the MediaTek Helio G100-Ultra. It is interesting to see this chipset since it is almost a rebranded Helio G99, the same chip that was used in the Redmi Pad three years ago. The tablet has a massive 9,000mAh battery and supports 18W charging.

The display is an 11-inch LCD with a 2560 x 1600 pixels resolution, 600 nits peak brightness, a 10-bit color depth, up to 90Hz refresh rate, wet touch technology, and a 16:10 aspect ratio. There is an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP selfie camera.

Finally, the Redmi Pad 2 runs on HyperOS 2 out of the box.

Well, looking at these specifications, we would not be surprised if the starting price is under ₹15,000 in the Indian market.
