[UPDATE – Redmi 10X 4G] Redmi Note 9 shows up on TENAA, design & specs revealed

UPDATE – WE KNOW NOW THAT IT IS NOT THE REDMI NOTE 9 BUT THE REDMI 10X 4G

A Source revealed that the phone that was supposed to be the Note 9 is actually named Redmi 10X 4G and is going to be the World’s First Smartphone with MediaTek Helio G85 SOC. The leaked price is 1,499 Yuan that translates to around $212 or Rs 16,000.

Redmi Note 9 Pro and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max launched last month, and it was surprising that the company didn’t launch the Redmi Note 9 at the event. Well, Note 9 is coming soon, and today the phone showed up on TENNA which revealed not only the design, but also the key specifications of it. It is going to retain the design from the Note 9 Pro series but with some slight changes.

TENAA listing reveals that this device features a Quad camera setup on the rear placed in the same manner as on the Note 9 Pro series. The only difference in the design is that the fingerprint scanner is on the rear as well instead of on the side. Also, while the Note 9 Pro and Note 9 Pro Max features a centred punch-hole design, this upcoming Redmi phone has a punch-hole on the top left corner.

Now coming to the specs, the TENAA listing reveals that there is a 6.53-inch Full-HD+ LCD panel on the front, 13 Megapixel selfie shooter, a 48 Megapixel quad-camera setup on the rear, 4,920mAh (5,000mAh) battery, and an SOC with a 2.0GHz octa-core SOC. While the name of the SOC is a mystery, it is most likely a MediaTek chipset and not a Qualcomm one.  This SOC could either be the MediaTek Helio G80 or the MediaTek Helio P75.

There is 3/4/6GB RAM and 32/64/128GB storage.

Well, let’s wait for some more information related to the Redmi Note 9 like its launch date and the pricing. Stay Tuned.
