Finally, Redmi revealed on its official Weibo page the launch date for its Redmi Note 8 series that includes Note 8 & Note 8 Pro, the successors to Note 7 and Note 7 Pro which launched at the beginning of 2019. We already know how the Note 8 Pro looks like, thanks to the recent leaks.
Moreover, Redmi has also confirmed that the Note 8 Pro is coming with a 64 Megapixel rear camera, which will make it the first phone in the world to launch with 64MP camera sensor.
As we can see in the official teaser, the Redmi Note 8 Pro has Quad Cameras on the rear & the fingerprint scanner is also on the back. While the teaser doesn’t reveal the design from the front, most of the sources claim that there is a waterdrop notch on the front & not a Full-Screen design like the Redmi K20 series.
The teaser also says that the Note 8 Pro has a 64MP camera, not the Redmi Note 8. But, that’s kind of expected since the same happened in Redmi Note 7 series where the Note 7 Pro got the 48MP camera whereas the Note 7 got a 12MP camera. Now, the SOC is still unknown, but there are rumours of the Note 8 Pro coming with MediaTek Helio G90T SOC, which is comparable, or even better, than the Snapdragon 730.
So, let’s see what Redmi offers with the upcoming Note 8 and Note 8 Pro. As always, the launch outside China will happen a month or two after the China launch.
