In September last year, the Redmi Note 14 series was launched in China, featuring the Note 14, Note 14 Pro, and Note 14 Pro+. The Redmi Note 14 was a budget phone with a Dimensity 7025 chipset, the Note 14 Pro was a mid-range phone with the Dimensity 7300-ULTRA chipset, and the Note 14 Pro+ was the most expensive among the three with a Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset. The Redmi Note 14 Pro+ was the first Redmi Note with a silicon-carbon battery, and it had a massive 6,200mAh cell. The brand is all set to launch the Redmi Note 15 Pro series in the Chinese market on August 21.
In typical Redmi fashion, the official renders of the smartphone are now here, as they were shared by the brand on Weibo.
The Redmi Note 15 Pro+ is coming with a similar camera module design as its predecessor. The only difference this time is the color of the camera module. Last year, the camera module was black for all the color options, but this year, the camera module matches the color of the rest of the phone. There are three cameras on the rear. The phone has flat sides, and the lack of antenna lines means there is a plastic frame. There is a quad-curved display on the front.
The brand has revealed that the phone has Xiaomi’s dragon crystal glass protection on the front, and fiberglass on the rear. The glass on the rear is also curved on all four sides.
Redmi has also revealed that the Note 15 Pro+ features not only IP68 and IP69 protection, but also IP69K protection. This means the phone can withstand high-pressure and high-temperature water jets.
The primary camera on the rear has a 50MP sensor with OIS support.
While Redmi has not yet shared the chipset that powers this phone, it is said to be an overclocked version of the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3. The Geekbench listing of the phone revealed a Qualcomm chipset with the same specifications as the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, with the only difference being a slightly higher clocked prime core (2.71GHz vs 2.5GHz). The phone is expected to feature a massive battery of at least 7,000mAh.
