The Redmi Note 13 series was launched in China in September last year, featuring the Redmi Note 13, Note 13 Pro & Note 13 Pro+. Today, the brand launched the Redmi Note 14 series in the Chinese market. The series includes three smartphones – These are Redmi Note 14, Redmi Note 14 Pro, and Redmi Note 14 Pro+. The phones feature an updated design and improved specifications.
REDMI NOTE 14
Starting with the vanilla model, the Redmi Note 14 has an “iPhone”-like camera module design on the back with the dual camera setup and an LED flash placed in a transparent square housing. The sides are flat, as is the display on the front. The front is protected with Gorilla Glass 5. The phone is IP64-certified and does not miss out on the 3.5mm headphone jack. There are stereo speakers, an IR blaster, and the thickness of the device is 7.99mm.
Under the hood, the Redmi Note 14 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7025-Ultra chipset. This SOC is built on the TSMC’s 6nm process and has a CPU clocked at up to 2.5GHz. The phone comes with 6GB or 8GB or 12GB RAM and 128GB or 256GB internal storage. There is a large 5,110mAh battery with 45W fast charging support.
The display is a 6.67-inch 120Hz OLED with a Full-HD+ resolution and a peak brightness of 2100 nits. The fingerprint scanner is placed under the display.
Coming to the cameras, the Redmi Note 14 has a dual camera setup on the rear. The primary camera has a 50MP Sony LYT-600 sensor with OIS, and the secondary camera has a 2MP depth sensor. The selfie shooter has a 16MP sensor. Redmi says the light intake is increased by 21% versus the primary camera on the Redmi Note 13.
Finally, the phone runs on Android 14-based HyperOS.

REDMI NOTE 14 PRO
Next up, we have the Redmi Note 14 Pro, the successor to the Redmi Note 13 Pro. The biggest update is in the design. While the Redmi Note 13 Pro featured a flat display, the Redmi Note 14 Pro has a curved display. Moreover, the display is protected with Gorilla Glass Victus 2. The camera module design has changed as well, so the triple camera setup is placed in the middle this year. The phone is also IP68-rated, something the Redmi Note 13 Pro lacked.
The phone has a stereo speaker setup, an under-display fingerprint scanner, an IR blaster, and NFC. There is no 3.5mm headphone jack.
While the Redmi Note 13 Pro was launched with a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset, the Redmi Note 14 Pro has a MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Ultra chipset. This is built on the TSMC’s 4nm process and has a CPU clocked at up to 2.5GHz. There is 8GB or 12GB LPDDR4X RAM with 128GB or 256GB or 512GB UFS 2.2 storage.
One of the highlights is the battery. The phone has a large 5,500mAh battery with 45W fast charging support.
The display is a 6.67-inch 1.5K curved OLED panel with a 3000 nits peak brightness, 12-bit color depth, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and up to 120Hz refresh rate. The display supports 1920Hz DC dimming.
Speaking of cameras, the Redmi Note 14 Pro has a triple camera setup on the rear. The primary camera has a 50MP Sony LYT-600 sensor with OIS and an f/1.5 lens. The secondary camera is for ultrawide shots and has an 8MP sensor. The third camera takes macro photos and has a 2MP sensor. For selfies, the phone has a 20MP OmniVision OV20B sensor. The phone can shoot 4K 30fps videos from the rear camera.
Finally, HyperOS runs out of the box.

Finally, let’s talk about the star of the show. The Redmi Note 14 Pro+ is the most expensive and the most feature-packed phone under the Note 14 series. Design-wise, the phone is almost identical to the Redmi Note 14 Pro, except for the camera module on the rear, which has a glass dome on top, and all three colors have the same black-colored camera module. The phone is IP68-certified and has Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection on the front. There is Gorilla Glass 7i protection on the back.
One of the highlights of this phone is its battery. The Redmi Note 14 Pro+ has a massive 6,200mAh battery and supports 90W fast charging. For the first time, Redmi has used a silicon-carbon battery in a Redmi Note. The energy density of the cell is up to 814Wh/L.
Under the hood, the phone has the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset, making it the world’s first phone with this SOC. The chip is built on TSMC’s 4nm process and features a CPU with four Cortex-A720 cores and four Cortex-A520 cores. The phone also has Xiaomi’s Surge C1 chip for better signal reception.
Coming to the display, it is a 6.67-inch 120Hz 1.5K OLED with a 12-bit color depth, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and 1920Hz DC dimming. In short, the phone has the same display as the Redmi Note 14 Pro.
Finally, let’s talk about the cameras. The phone has a triple camera setup on the rear. The primary camera uses a 1/1.55″ 50MP Light Fusion 800 sensor with a large f/1.6 aperture lens and OIS. The ultrawide camera has an 8MP sensor. Finally, there is a third telephoto camera with a 50MP sensor and 2.5x optical zoom. There is no OIS for the telephoto camera. The selfie shooter has the same 20MP OmniVision OV20B sensor as the Redmi Note 14 Pro. There is no upgrade in the video recording capabilities when compared to the Redmi Note 14 Pro.
