Back in September, the Redmi Note 13 series went official in China, featuring the vanilla Note 13, Note 13 Pro & Note 13 Pro+. Today, Redmi Note 13R Pro went official in China and while the name makes it look like a better version of the Redmi Note 13 Pro or the Redmi Note 13, that’s not the case. This phone is identical to the Redmi Note 13, with the only difference being the rear design.
The camera module design is slightly changed on the 13R Pro, with the camera module taking the full width of the phone, something similar to Poco phones. And the other design change is the new “Gold” color option that the Redmi Note 13 lacks.
There is no change in the specs sheet compared to the Redmi Note 13. The Note 13R Pro has a 6.67-inch 10-bit OLED display with a Full-HD+ resolution (2400 x 1080) and a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel has 1920Hz PWM dimming and 1000 nits peak brightness. There is a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. The chip is the MediaTek Dimensity 6080, paired with 12GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB UFS 2.2 storage. Interestingly, that’s the only storage option for this phone.
The dual camera setup on the rear includes a primary 108MP sensor with 0.64um pixel size and a 2MP depth sensor. The selfie camera has a 16MP sensor.
Finally, Android 13 runs out of the box with MIUI 14.
Redmi Note 13R Pro is priced at ¥1999 (~$279).
