Redmi Note 13 Pro+ to feature Dimensity 7200-ULTRA

Plus a 200MP Samsung sensor!

The Redmi Note 12 Pro series was launched in China in October last year, featuring the MediaTek Dimensity 1080 chipset. The Redmi Note 12 Pro+ featured a 200MP Samsung HPX sensor and 120W fast charging. The brand has started teasing the Redmi Note 13 series launch in China. Today, Redmi shared a few features of the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ on Weibo. There is no information on the launch date yet, but the company has revealed that the phone is launching this month.

The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ has two significant upgrades over the Redmi Note 12 Pro+. The chip is upgraded to the MediaTek Dimensity 7200-Ultra, which sounds like a more powerful version of the Dimensity 7200. It is built on TSMC’s 2nd-gen 4nm process and has the same ISP that the flagship MediaTek Dimensity 9000 series had.

Apart from the chipset, the other upgrade is in the camera, the primary camera, to be specific. Redmi Note 13 Pro+ has a 200MP sensor for the primary camera, the same as the Note 12 Pro+. But, instead of the Samsung HPX sensor, Redmi went for the Samsung HP3 sensor this time. While the names are different, there is hardly any difference between the two sensors. Both are 1/1.4-inch sensors with a 0.56µm pixel size.

Redmi says the image processing has improved, so we hope that’s the case and not just a marketing tactic.

That’s all we know about the Redmi Note 13 Pro+. Stay tuned for more details.
