Redmi Note 12T Pro is the latest offering from the brand under the Note 12 series, and as the name suggests, it is the successor to the Redmi Note 11T Pro. Following the predecessor’s footsteps, the successor features a MediaTek chipset and a high refresh-rate LCD panel. The Note 11T Pro was launched in China at ¥1799 last year, but the Note 12T Pro is ¥200 cheaper, starting at ¥1599. The reason is that the Note 12T Pro retains many of the features of the Note 11T Pro.

Redmi Note 12T Pro

Design-wise, there is almost no change except for the rings around the camera sensors on the rear. But that’s such a subtle difference that you may not notice it unless you place both phones side-by-side. Redmi Note 12T Pro has flat sides, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, an X-axis linear motor, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and an IR blaster. The phone is IP53 rated and supports WiFi 6, NFC, and Bluetooth 5.3.

The display is a 6.6-inch Full-HD+ LCD with a 20.5:9 aspect ratio, 144Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision, HDR 10, and 650 nits brightness. In short, the same panel as the last year’s Note 11T Pro.

The battery size is 5,080mAh, and the phone supports 67W charging. Again, the same as last year. The similarities don’t end here. Redmi Note 12T Pro has the same camera setup as the Note 11T Pro: a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 2MP macro. For selfies, the phone has a 16MP camera.

Well, if the display, battery size, charging speed, and cameras are the same as last year, you might’ve guessed by now that the performance is upgraded.

Redmi Note 12T Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8200-Ultra SOC, an upgrade over Dimensity 8200, which in turn is the upgrade of Dimensity 8100 that powered the Redmi Note 11T Pro. This chip is built on the TSMC’s 4nm process, and the CPU features a maximum clock speed of 3.1GHz.

Redmi claims an AnTuTu benchmark score of over 900,000 points which is impressive.

Finally, the phone runs on MIUI 14, based on Android 13.

Redmi Note 12T Pro comes in three colors, and here is the pricing –

  • 8GB + 128GB – ¥1599 (~$226)
  • 8GB + 256GB – ¥1699 (~$240)
  • 12GB + 256GB – ¥1799 (~$254)
  • 12GB + 512GB – ¥1999 (~$283)

Last year’s Redmi Note 11T Pro was launched outside China as Poco X4 GT & Redm K50i. So, we expect the Note 12T Pro launch as Poco X5 GT and Redmi K60i in the global market.
