More Redmi Note 12 Turbo features revealed, launch imminent

The Redmi Note 12 Turbo is launching in the Chinese market on March 28 with the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 SOC & as the company always does, we are getting to know more and more features every day. Redmi has already shared many details on its Weibo profile, so we will try to cover them in this article.

Speaking of the camera performance, the phone has a 64MP primary camera sensor with OIS support. The phone uses Xiaomi Imaging Engine 2.0, an image processing algorithm. It is present in the Redmi K60 series as well. Some notable features include faster image processing, natural colors, AI scene recognition, etc. The Redmi Note 12 Turbo’s camera has In-sensor Zoom, which should offer better image quality while zooming in compared to normal digital zoom.

Redmi also talked about the “film camera,” which sounds like some built-in effects to make your photos look like the ones shot on film cameras.

The phone has a stereo speaker setup with Dolby Atmos & 150-level volume adjustment. There is a 5,000mAh battery; even with such a large battery, the thickness is 7.9mm, and the weight is 181g. The company also confirmed the 16GB + 1TB storage option for the Note 12 Turbo.

Regarding the display, Redm Note 12 Turbo has a 12-bit OLED display with 1920Hz PWM dimming, a 2.22mm bottom bezel, 1.42mm side bezels & 1.95mm top bezel. This results in an impressive 93.4% screen-to-body ratio.

Finally, the phone has the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 SOC under the hood and a large 3725mm square vapor chamber cooling system for better thermals.

The phone is rumored to launch outside China as the Poco F5.
