Last month, the Redmi Note 11 series went official in the global market with four phones under it, and today, two new Note series phones launched in India. They are named the Redmi Note 11 & Redmi Note 11S. These are non-5G phones from the company, and both offer a 90Hz AMOLED, a 5,000mAh battery, 33W charging, and stereo speakers. The main difference between the two is in the performance & the cameras, both of which are better in the Note 11S.
REDMI NOTE 11
Starting with the Redmi Note 11, it is the successor to the Redmi Note 10, which was a very good value-for-money phone (before the price hike, of course). The Note 11 has a polycarbonate build and flat sides. There is a flat screen on the front with a hole punch in the middle and a Quad camera array on the back. The fingerprint scanner sits on the right side, and there are stereo speakers.
In terms of the specs, there is a 6.43-inch AMOLED with a Full-HD+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. The peak brightness of this panel is 1000 nits. Under the hood, there is the Snapdragon 680 SOC which is a non-5G chip. As the name suggests, this is an upgrade over the Snapdragon 678, which powered the Redmi Note 10. Note 11 has 4GB or 6GB LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB or 128GB UFS 2.2 storage that is expandable up to 1TB.
There are four cameras on the back where the primary shooter has a 50MP sensor with an f/1.8 aperture lens. There is an 8MP ultrawide, a 2MP macro, and a 2MP depth sensor. There is support for up to FHD 30fps video recording. On the front, the phone has a 13MP camera for selfies.
Redmi Note 11 has a 5,000mAh battery and supports 33W fast charging. Finally, MIUI 13 runs out of the box, but the Android version is still 11. There are three color options for the Indian market named Stardust White, Horizon Blue, and Space Black. Here is the pricing –
- 4GB + 64GB – ₹13,499
- 6GB + 64GB – ₹14,499
- 6GB + 128GB – ₹15,999
REDMI NOTE 11S
The Redmi Note 11S is almost the same phone as the Note 11 but with a different chip and upgraded cameras. So, it has the same 6.43-inch FHD+ 90Hz AMOLED, a 5,000mAh battery, 33W charging, stereo speakers, etc. Instead of Snapdragon 680, the Redmi Note 11S is powered by Helio G96. Also, the base variant has 6GB RAM instead of 4GB.
The primary shooter on the rear has a 108MP Samsung HM2 sensor, and on the front, there is a 16MP selfie camera. Apart from these two, the other cameras are the same as Redmi Note 11. The same is the case with video recording.
Redmi Note 11S comes in three colors named Polar White, Horizon Blue, and Space Black. Here is the pricing –
- 6GB + 64GB – ₹16,499
- 6GB + 128GB – ₹17,499
- 8GB + 128GB – ₹18,499
While the Redmi Note 11 goes on sale on the 11th of February, the Note 11S will not be available until February 21.
