So by now, it is not a secret anymore that most (or every) of the Poco smartphones are just rebranded Redmi phones. For example, the Poco F3 GT is launching soon in India that is a rebrand of Redmi K40 Gaming Edition available in China. Last month, Poco M3 Pro 5G launched in India, which was a rebrand of Redmi Note 10 5G available in Europe. There was no surprise in that launch as we have seen this rebranding happening quite often in the past year.
But what’s confusing is the fact that today, Redmi Note 10T 5G launched in India, and it is the exact same device as the Poco M3 Pro 5G, aka the European Redmi Note 10 5G. In fact, Redmi didn’t even bother to change the starting price since it is the same as that of Poco M3 Pro 5G in India!
There is one thing that makes the Redmi Note 10T 5G different from the Poco M3 Pro 5G, and that’s the back design. Instead of tweaking the rear panel design as Poco did, Redmi kept it the same as the Redmi Note 10 5G (for Europe). So apart from the rear design & the branding, there is nothing different between this phone and the Poco M3 Pro 5G. There is the same side-facing fingerprint scanner, a Type-C port on the bottom, a flat display on the front with a hole punch in the middle, a triple camera setup on the rear, etc.
Specifications-wise, Note 10T 5G has a Dimensity 700 5G SOC, and due to this chip, the phone supports Dual Sim Dual 5G. The 6.5-inch display on the front is an LCD with a 90Hz refresh rate & 1080p resolution. There is a 5,000mAh battery and support for 18W fast charging. In terms of the cameras, the triple camera setup on the back includes a primary 48 Megapixel sensor along with two 2 Megapixel sensors. So just like in the case of the Poco M3 Pro 5G, there is no ultrawide camera on this phone.
There is an 8 Megapixel selfie camera. The storage options are the same as well. So, the phone comes with 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM as the base, and you can opt for a 6GB RAM + 128GB ROM variant as well.
Finally, speaking of the pricing, Redmi Note 10T 5G starts at ₹13,999 for the 4GB RAM variant, and the price goes up to ₹15,999 for the 6GB RAM variant. The color options are Chromium White, Mint Green, Graphite Black & Metallic Blue. The phone goes on sale on the 26th of July at 12 Noon on Mi.com & Amazon.
